I originally thought this was going to be a ‘Bennett Foddy’-like game because of the seemingly cumbersome controls in the tutorial, however after becoming familiar with them, it creates one of the most satisfying gameplay flows I’ve experienced.
The story of the game also surprised me, beginning thinking it was just going to be a silent lone-wolf type experience but all the characters are very well written. A shame you can’t control as much how you interact with them but in doing so it also creates a compelling main character.
I’ve just beated the game on normal-mode but I’m now attempting on hard-mode because the challenge is so compelling and I really want to see the rest of the game.
Minor spoilers:
I especially want to see what im guessing are alternate endings based on the decisions you make near the end.
Overall a sleeper pick and quietly surprised me, worth the $ tag and has great replayability to explore section you missed the first time around.
